By Jonathan Freeman, National Director, Mosaic
Mosaic’s guiding mission, as established by HRH The Prince of Wales, is to improve the life chances of young people and to bring communities together. I am supporting this Commission because Mosaic's supporters believe fervently that every young person, regardless of their background, should be supported to reach their potential.
Underpinning that mission, Mosaic seeks to strengthen and nurture the mosaic of society in which everyone is valued and plays a valuable part. Mosaic has always drawn its primary support from those individuals who are proud of their Muslim faith and of their British citizenship, wishing to give back to society, and their communities, as a whole.
Mosaic has also been fortunate to count, amongst its many supporters, truly inspirational individuals making a tremendous contribution to society. Mosaic’s supporters defy the sloppy negative stereotypes of Muslims held by too many in society - in this way they help to nurture a society which is more accepting, inclusive, and integrated. For these reasons, I am delighted to support and contribute to the Commission’s work.
